She has an M.S. in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, is licensed in CT as a Certified Dietician/Nutritionist (CDN), and passed her Board exam as part of the process of becoming a board-certified Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) through the American Nutrition Association (ANA). Sandy is passionate about helping adults aspiring to achieve their health and lifestyle objectives.  Understanding that many diseases are preventable and possibly reversible, she takes a whole-body functional nutrition approach. Scientific research backs the management of certain conditions with food and lifestyle modifications.

Starting with a comprehensive nutritional assessment to determine individual nutritional needs, she partners with her clients to create a personalized nutrition intervention plan which they monitor together on a mutually defined basis. This consultation may provide needed nutrition education and/or target specific health needs, provide personalized dietary and nutritional’s recommendations, lifestyle modifications and/or coaching about lifestyle changes to support greater health and well-being. By addressing small incremental changes in your current lifestyle, we are able to make impactful improvements in your health!

Fun facts about me:

  • I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking in all 4 four seasons. I look forward to the newness and gifts of each season. If you see a snow angel on my hiking trail, likely I know who made it!

  • I have a big place in my heart for pups! They listen to our every word, always by our side and provide unconditional love.

  • Though I love delicious food, I'm not excited about cooking it, so you can be assured any dietary changes involve easy-to-make recipes!

  • I believe little changes in our life can make a large impact, and that's at the core of functional nutrition, feeling better and making sustainable changes.
